The RQAP program was established to set a high-quality standard in the QA industry, provide personal professional growth and achievement, and demonstrate an individual’s knowledge of regulations/guidances and how they are applied. The RQAP credential is a recognized standard
of experience and knowledge throughout the QA industry, in the US and around the world.

The RQAP-GCP credential is also a way for employers to recognize and promote qualified quality assurance professionals. To become an RQAP Registrant, Amy R. Fox met requirements in two areas:

  • Education and Experience: Baccalaureate degree or higher from a university plus two years of full-time QA experience in GCP or four years of full-time QA experience in GCP without a baccalaureate degree
  • Knowledge: Passed the RQAP-GCP examination

SQA regularly conducts industry research to validate the content of the examination, and works with a psychometrician at Professional Testing, Inc. to develop and pilot test exam questions, establish appropriate passing scores, and provide statistical analysis on the exam questions so that the exam is always up-to-date and statistically valid.

The 3.5-hour RQAP exam is offered twice each year (typically in March/April and October/November). The exam includes 165 multiple-choice questions in GCP quality assurance content areas including compliance assessment (monitoring, inspecting, and auditing), compliance management (scheduling, reporting/record keeping, and documenting), and applied expertise (evaluating and advising). For more information about the RQAP program, visit www.sqa.org/rqap or email rqap@sqa.org, and for a complete list of all current RQAP Registrants, visit www.sqa.org/rqap-list.

Amy explains “This certification reflects a person’s competency and knowledge of regulations, professional growth and a level of prestige among their peers in the research industry. It is an honor to join the elite group of professionals who hold this certification to date.”
